Impulsafy Email Guard Shopify App
Find and fix typos in customer emails and recover lost contacts.
Stop losing customers to email typos like gamil.com or hotmail.con. Impulsafy Email Guard detects mistyped customer emails, tags them, and helps you fix them to prevent bounced emails in email marketing campaigns.
A single wrong character is a lost customer
Every time someone mistypes their email at checkout, you don’t just lose a future campaign open. You lose the ability to reach that customer at all. They never see your welcome flow, your post-purchase emails, your seasonal campaigns — because the address bounced silently on the first send.
Multiply that by hundreds of customers and months of sends, and the leak adds up to real, measurable revenue you’ll never recover.
Most common typos that Email Guard catches:
- gamil.com, gnail.com, gmial.com instead of gmail.com
- @hotmail.con, hotmial.com, hotmail.co instead of hotmail.com
- yahooo.com, yaho.com instead of yahoo.com
- outloook.com, outlok.com instead of outlook.com
- Invalid syntax: missing @, double dots, trailing spaces, missing TLD
Scan, detect, tag, fix.
Scan
Email Guard reads every customer email in your Shopify store. No exports, no spreadsheets, no manual work.
Detect
Each email is checked against a curated set of typo patterns and syntax rules — covering the most common provider mistakes and structural errors.
Tag
Customers with problematic emails get a tag so you can find them, segment them, or exclude them from your next send with one click.
Fix
Review the detected issues and repair the addresses. Once fixed, those customers re-enter your campaigns and start receiving your emails again.

Real-time protection (in development)
Right now, Email Guard cleans what’s already in your store. The next version adds a preventive layer: the moment a customer with a mistyped email is created at checkout, on a signup form, anywhere the store owner gets notified in real time. That way the typo never reaches a campaign in the first place.
A clean list is a better list for any tool you send from
Protect your customer email list before sending campaigns with Shopify Email, Klaviyo, or other email marketing tools.
Email Guard works on your Shopify customer list directly. Whichever marketing tool you use to actually send the campaigns, they’ll all benefit from starting with a list that doesn’t bounce.
Built the way a Shopify app should be built
Embedded in your Shopify Admin.
No separate dashboard, no extra login. App Bridge + Polaris means it looks and feels like part of Shopify.
GraphQL Admin API.
Modern Shopify stack, designed to scale with your store.
Protected Customer Data handling.
Email addresses are classified by Shopify as Protected Customer Data, and Email Guard is designed to meet those requirements: clear purpose, documented retention, named sub-processors, GDPR alignment.
GDPR webhooks from day one
customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact are wired in, so merchant and customer data rights work the way Shopify expects.
No storefront impact.
Email Guard runs only in your Admin. It does not inject anything into your storefront, so it has zero effect on your Lighthouse score or page speed.

FAQ
Does Email Guard change customer emails automatically?
No, unless specifically set by you within the automation features. Every fix is reviewed and approved by you. The app suggests corrections; it never overwrites a new customer address on its own.
What customer data does the app access?
Only what’s needed to detect typos: customer email addresses. We do not read order contents, payment information, or anything beyond the email field. Full details are in our privacy policy.
Will it slow down my store?
No. Email Guard runs entirely inside your Shopify Admin. It does not add code to your storefront and does not affect page speed or Lighthouse scores.
I have tens of thousands of customers. Will the scan handle that?
Yes. Scans run in batches that respect Shopify’s GraphQL Admin API rate limits, so large customer databases are processed reliably without throttling.
What languages does the detection support?
The typo detection is language-agnostic — it works on email patterns, not on the rest of the customer profile. The app interface adapts to your store default language and is currently in English, Spanish, German, French and Italian.
Is there a paid plan?
Yes, currently the app offers a Free plan, as well as two paid plans (Starter and Pro) with different features that yo
